Workshop by Leika Suzumura: "Sugar-Coated History"
Connecting the dots between sugar, colonialism, and health disparity today.

You may already understand the connection between sugar consumption and diabetes, but have you thought about how the historical rise of the sugar industry directly relates to health disparities today?

In this workshop, we will examine this historical timeline, highlighting the stories of resistance and resilience as a guide for our individual and collective actions.

People working in healthcare, food and social justice are encouraged to attend.
