This workshop is offered in conjunction with our Member Bulk Sale, running April 22 to 28 — the perfect time to put your new skills into practice.

• The environmental and health impacts of plastic, and why reducing it matters
• Practical strategies for cutting plastic out of your everyday routine
• Tips and tricks for shopping with less packaging at the Co-op
• What the Co-op is doing to reduce waste in our stores

Meet Our Speaker

Laura Weiss is the Co-op’s Board Chair and a waste reduction entrepreneur. She founded GO Box — a Portland-based, reusable container service that replaced single-use takeout packaging at food carts and restaurants across the city. With a background in environmental policy, Laura has spent years helping people and businesses rethink their relationship with disposables.
