Robert Fong was head chef and co-owner of the Pacific Café, which for over 20 years set the standard for fine dining in downtown Bellingham. Robert’s origins in a family of Chinese chefs, his years in the restaurant business, and his culinary adventures in more than 60 countries, have deepened his skills.
Robert enjoys creative collaboration and sometimes invites fellow chefs to co-host classes with him. A few recent collaborations include Ahoy, Lummi Island with Nick Green, sous chef of the nationally acclaimed Willows Inn; and A French Winter Meal with another popular Healthy Connections instructor Karina Davidson.
Robert's recent classes have included his popular annual Chinese New Year class, Hawaiian Comfort Food, Alaskan Halibut, Olive Oil & Vinegar, Just Chicken, Spicy Thai, Roll Your Own Sushi, Korean Cuisine.
