About the Board

Co-op members elect a nine-member Board of Directors to guide the Community Food Co-op. This leadership and policy-setting group reports to the membership and is responsible for the planning, review, and oversight of the Co-op.

The Board meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 6 pm.

Co-op Board Election Results

The 2023 Co-op Board election culminated on March 30. Five candidates vied for two seats on the Board. Co-op members voted to retain the two incumbents, Heidi Beierle and Joseph Correa. The Board is grateful to all who participated in the election, especially the candidates who included Kamea Black, Jill Clark, and Minaz Hassam, and to the 305 Co-op members who voted. Your participation is what keeps the Community Food Co-op vibrant and successful!

The Co-op Staff members also held an election for the Staff Director position. Tony Vernon, Cordata Grocery Department Manager, was nominated as the Staff Director. Thank you to Karl Meyer for running and the 100 staff members who voted! The Board is grateful to have an engaged staff!
