Noisy Waters Mural Festival gathers muralists from all around the world at the Bellingham Waterfront to create art in real time. The festival gets its name from the Lhaq’temish word “Xwot’qom,” from which “Whatcom” is derived. It translates to “noisy water.”
The weekend is filled with demos, music, education, and a few good parties, with new walls taking shape all along the way. Community Food Co-op is sponsoring the event, providing refreshments for the Artist Lounge to keep the painters fueled.
