Join farmer and chef Bre Snodgrass as she makes dishes that highlight the plentiful local produce of the season: a savory herbed-tahini sauce served with radishes and sweet salad turnips, a lively salad with snap peas and pickled rhubarb, and a comforting bowl of lentils with roasted asparagus, carrots, and mushrooms. These plant-based and gluten-free dishes celebrate our local bounty, including the first greens of the season and delicious spring veggies. Join us in celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage by learning to make Vietnamese Pho, the national dish of Vietnam. PeaceHealth chefs Khanh Trinh and Andy Nguyen will guide you through the basics of creating a rich, flavor-filled broth steeped in tradition. Khanh is well-known for his Vietnamese Pho featured every Friday in the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center Café; this dish is a Trinh family recipe Khanh has made with love for many years. Vietnamese Pho (pronounced "fuh") is a rice noodle soup known for its rich aromas and deep flavors.

You may have had Polish pierogi before, but never like this! Magdalena will teach you the ins and outs of creating pierogi, its history, turning pierogi into a meal, and the key to storing leftovers. She'll also teach you how to make Ukrainian pelmeni. You'll learn to pair these dishes with toppings such as caramelized onion and a creamy mushroom sauce to create soul-soothing dishes for any time of day. Magdalena Theisen moved from Poland in 2009 and opened Magdalena's Bistro and Creperie. Magdalena had professional training in Brittany, France and received her Polish cooking experience from her grandmother and parents.
