We believe that produce should look beautiful, taste good, and be good for you. It’s our mission to source the highest quality, fresh, organic produce year round.
Produce staff are super knowledgeable about the produce we sell, the farms we work with, and love to share tasty tips for getting the best from your fruit and vegetables. Ask for recommendations, we love to talk about delicious food!
Both of the Co-op's produce departments carry about 90 percent certified organic produce and are certified as organic handlers by the Washington State Department of Agriculture organic program.
Local and organic produce are the core of our co-op's produce department.
We are committed to sourcing produce directly from small family farms, ranging in size from 1 to 100 acres, whenever we can. This is where the good food comes from.
Why Farmer Direct produce?
Our long-standing relationships with small organic family farms in Eastern Washington bring us a vibrant selection of cherries, peaches, apricots, nectarines, apples, pluots, and plums.
These relationships are the future of small family farming; the Co-op is committed to supporting the hard work and survival of these farms that we know and trust.
