Letter From Board Chair
Dear Co-op Members,
We are gearing up for another full year as the Co-op celebrates its 55th Anniversary! Last year, the Board of Directors finished the 2024-2028 Strategic Plan. Thank you to everyone who contributed during the process through surveys and focus groups. Our staff and managers have been working to improve customer service and store conditions. We are grateful for their work and focus on operations.
Last fall, the Board hired a new CEO/General Manager, Lisa Sedlar. Lisa brings extensive leadership experience as a retail grocer in the natural and organic food industry, and a passion for local food and community to the Co-op. She has been connecting with members and looks forward to meeting more of you at the Annual Meeting!
Looking ahead, we are excited to work on our new long-range goals. As we continue our efforts to build a sustainable and resilient community, we will highlight the need to protect our local farmland, which is critical to ensure we have a robust local food system. Our Annual Meeting focus topic is “Preserving Local Farmland.” We hope you will join us to learn more about why preserving farmland for future generations matters.
It has been an honor and pleasure to serve as your Board Chair. I’m proud of the work this Board has done this past year. We hope to see you on March 27 for a fun evening of connection, conversation, and food!
Laura Weiss
Co-op Board Chair
