No. The dividend is based on purchases made between December 27, 2020 to December 25, 2021, the Co-op's 2021 fiscal year.
This dividend is a sum of money that could be paid to active members out of the profit — or net income — the Co-op makes specifically from member purchases. The Board of Directors determines if a dividend will be issued for the prior fiscal year, and if so, the size of the dividend, based on the Co-op’s financial results and the needs of the business. Any individual dividend declared by the Board of Directors is calculated as a percentage of total member eligible purchases. The same percentage applies to all member’s individual eligible purchases.
The percentage of purchases you made during the fiscal year is applied to the amount of the Co-op's net distributable profit at the end of the year, if any.
