Feed Neighbors.
Support Farmers.
When you donate at the Co-op, you’re not just giving money — you’re helping create a more resilient Whatcom County. Your small donation at checkout helps Bellingham Food Bank buy fresh, local produce directly from small farms. This strengthens our local food system while providing healthy food to those who need it most.
The Ripple Effect of Your Donation
Every dollar you contribute is felt deeply throughout our community:
- Supports local farms: Your donation helps provide stable income for small-scale farmers in Whatcom County.
- Feeds our neighbors: Bellingham Food Bank serves nearly 24% of Whatcom County residents.
- Builds a resilient food system: By connecting local farms to local needs, we all win.
Why Your Support Matters
Bellingham Food Bank serves approximately 5,000 households every week — that’s nearly the entire population of Blaine. In just two years, they’ve seen a staggering 194% increase in client visits. Your donation helps them purchase the fresh, nutritious food that families need.
Last year, Bellingham Food Bank invested over $700,000 in purchasing directly from local farms. Together, we can help them continue this vital work in 2025.
How it Works
At checkout, the PIN pad will prompt you to donate $1, $2, or $5. Your gift will be added to your receipt, and 100% of funds raised will go directly to Bellingham Food Bank for local farm purchases.
Thank you for being part of our shared vision. Together, we’re building a healthier, more connected Whatcom County.
