Foraging for Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4 • 12:15 to 3 p.m.

Participants will meet at the Mosquito Lake Road bridge in Deming.
In this member-exclusive workshop, you’ll learn how to safely identify common edible mushrooms while gaining an understanding of foraging ethics and permits. Plus, you’re guaranteed to see species like chanterelle, lion’s mane, or oyster mushrooms in their natural habitat.
You will be moving through uneven terrain for much of the two and a half hours of this course. Please wear clothing that allows you to get over fallen logs and trees when necessary.
This event will proceed rain or shine.
